About Pinehouse Business North
Pinehouse Business North was established on May 17, 2007 to become earning revenues for local projects & social programming. Initial work consisted on labour and earth moving contracts at Cameco’s Key Lake and McArthur River mining operations. Governance & management provisions were overhauled in 2010 when PBN started to grow significantly!
In the last 25 years PBN has grown leaps and bounds. Today there are various partnerships and joint ventures that makes PBN even more competitive. There are now top level professionals running the operations from accountants, project managers, engineers, estimators, technicians and labourers to name a few. PBN has a hybrid Board of Directors consisting of local Pinehouse residents and outside experts in various fields. In this way, PBN always remains competitive and acceptable to its shareholders which is ultimately the residents of Pinehouse.
PBN has various clients including Cameco, Orano, SaskPower, SaskTel, Indigenous Services Canada and the Ministry of Highways. Today, PBN has approximately 55 pieces of equipment ranging from excavators, bull dozers, graders, flat-deck semis, loaders, packers, skid steers, hydro-seeders, fuel & company trucks situated all over PBN’s northern Saskatchewan operations.
